Outrageous Marketing Ideas
I am sure you have seen some creative advertising before, but have you ever heard of this; Vendor carves his logo into his flip flops and walks the beach every morning. This got me thinking! Smoke and flames shot from my ears as the cobwebs cleared and a new idea was born.
Beachside dog vendor has custom rubber stamp 6″ X 2″ done. (you can order online for a few dollars) Instead of having it mounted on an inker he orders just the custom rubber graphic. He then glues with rubber cement these logos to each sneaker. Say one could say; “Beach Bum Dogs” and the other shoe could read “Best Hot Dogs” or maybe “$2.00 lunch!” Then while the beach is quiet in the early morning with fresh smoothed sand from the previous nights tide change – walk the beach. Exercise and Advertising in one!
Looks as if the idea has already been stolen and before I even thought of it. I hate folks who pre-snipe my future ideas. Look at this brilliant way to advertise on the beach.
See more of their ideas here. If that ain’t the cat’s meow, I don’t know what is… and the sand ad isn’t bad either. Now I know I have some creative vendor friends out there, so please share an idea. Have you seen something amazing or are you doing something unique, help your fellow vendors out.
Let’s make it even better! Best idea submitted wins a dog sled or set of chip clips. Submit your ideas in the comments, then I will make a post of ideas with a voting tab and let the best idea win. We need at least 5 submissions. Ready, go!

Just 3 years ago I was broke, bankrupt and depressed. I had just lost my furniture stores and my home. Hot Dogs Saved my life! Nothing’s been the same since. I love to help others succeed in this wonderful business.

Ben, Have you ever used “drop cards”? They look like folded $20 to $100 bills with your message on the back. They work great as biz card too.Google. Also, some where I saw a cool hot dog hat and would love to know where to order them. Great work helping us to stay connected.
Larry, I have seen those drop cards, but always with a church message. That would be a great idea for vendors to place around the area where they are set up. Here’s a link to a company that makes custom drop cards for those who may want to try this idea Larry shared. Here’s a hot dog hat for only $6.95. Thank you for sharing Larry! We all appreciate it.
