Hey, folks! For years, I've been keeping records in my own low-tech, low-cost way, and it works for me. It's not a high-tech method of recordkeeping, but it works. I'm going to show you how I do it, and if it works for you, feel free to use it in your own business. Whether you're selling hot dogs from a cart, catering events/parties, or selling cupcakes, it's important to keep track of your numbers.
You don't have to be an accountant. But this will help you figure out where to put your effort to get the most money for the time you put into your business. Why wouldn't you do this if it helps you make more money in less time??
Gather Your Equipment
- Yellow pad (or any kind of notebook you like)
- Pen (your choice of writing thing)
That's it! Now you're ready… This ain't rocket science.
