If I Increase Prices, Will I Lose Customers?

Hi folks! Today, I answered a question from a hot dog vendor whose costs have increased, but he's worried about raising prices. It can be tough having to charge more for your product when people are already used to a certain price. The short answer to his question is YES raise prices! You can watch the video for all of the details, but the bottom line is, you have to raise prices when your costs increase, and going from $2.00 to $3.00 for a quarter-pound hot dog is still considered very affordable, especially compared to what vendors charge in other places.

What Made You Choose Street Food Vending?

For today's Throwback Thursday, I'd like you to think back to when you started in the street food business. What got you excited to get out and run your hot dog cart or food truck? How did you decide to jump into the street food business? Was it the joy of cooking your special recipes and seeing people smile when they ate? Was it the satisfaction of doing your work on your own terms and having financial freedom? Was it working out in the sunshine and fresh air instead of being stuck in an office or somebody else's kitchen?
