Should you have a Facebook page, a website or both?

I not going to bore you to tears with some long drawn out article with references to 600 case studies and 45 expert opinions.  Instead, I'm going to cut right to the chase…

In short, a Facebook page is better.  A Facebook page is faster, easier to manage, free, just as searchable if not even more so and almost anyone with a heartbeat is using it daily.

I once encouraged folks to get a website and after years and hearing from many, the facts are that now with social media apps, like Facebook, it's just not even close to as good as having a business page on Facebook.

Facebook pages now allow you to take orders right from the page, they allow you to update folks immediately, send announcements and much more.

Facebook will also let you advertise just to the people that matter, those in your area.

A website wouldn't hurt, but you'll soon find that updating, changing, keeping it secure from malicious attacks can be a full time job.

Last year we spent over $6,000 on security, malware protection and backend support just to keep this one blog from being attacked.

If you are going to have a website, use a service like www.wix.com which you can set up easily, they handle security and they host it on their servers.
