I drink a lot of Diet Pepsi. I mean, it's all I drink. Occasionally to prevent it from going bad, I add some bourbon.

I have a little fridge in my office and my wife keeps me stocked up nicely. I also smoke like a chimney. I'd grab a cigarette go to the door of my office and blow the smoke outside.

If the weather was nice, I'd stand on my little stoop and enjoy this fine product by Mother Nature. After each cigarette, I would make sure it was extinguished and throw it on the ground.

What with, grass and weeds a few rocks, you didn't really even notice these butts lying around. Over several months of following the same routine, I began to notice how nasty the area at my door began to look.

I bet there were hundreds. Yes, hundreds of cigarette butts scattered within a few feet of my door. I swear I never noticed how quickly they accumulated. It was as if one day there were only a few and then the next, there were a few hundred.

Good habits and good information work the same way… Stuart from NC called into the show last night, he told us how he ran out of propane, reached into the door to turn the other tank on and there wasn't another tank.

The day before, he had taken it out so he wouldn't forget to fill it. Have you ever done something like that? John from Missouri shared how he went to an event once and left behind the most important items.

Michael told us he loaded for an event this week, drove to the site and no one was there. Wrong day! Every single hot dog vendor radio show, I learn something. Every one of them. It may not be that big, but added up, all these tips and tricks and solutions to problems create a WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE.

Let the tips pile up, like my cigarettes. One day you will find that your knowledge on vending is extraordinary and that all those little butts of knowledge have accumulated into the successful vendor you've become.

I would encourage you to catch the shows live or at very least listen to them later. They are absolutely free and full of great info shared by new and experienced vendors alike. Why? Because pennies turn into dollars.

Wicked Local Dogs shared a tip I'd never heard of; Putting a candy dish out with assorted chocolates. You know the individually wrapped bite size chocolates. That is a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing.
