The past 7 days have been jam packed with vendor success stories and I hope you have been enjoying them as much as I.  I should be kicked in the butt for not bringing these fantastic interviews to you all along.  Well we must let bygones be bygones. (I don't even know if that is how it's spelled.)

Taking the plunge

Just one day after hitting the send button on his resignation with a corporate giant after 15 years with them, Moncrief shared his goals and his recent trials with getting his ‘Crief's Dawg Depot' up and running.  Talk about taking a plunge.  I asked Moncrief if how he felt that first night and as you would expect, he was worried but also felt as if a huge weight had been lifted.  That's exactly how I felt when I found the hot dog business; scared and excited.

Test marketing with cold calls

The act of attempting a sell or introduction without and appointment or invite.  Yuck!  I hate cold calls and I've had to do it.  And if you are just getting started you will too.  We all do at first.  It's really not that bad and Moncrief gives some pointers to us all.  What a great man to share this information.  His cold calling netted him two great jobs and both are going to be huge, I mean HUGE!

When I say cold calls, I don't mean dialing a phone either.  This is walk in the door, shake a hand and warming up to the question.  Moncrief shares both his experiences with us and how he got these full time gigs.

Marketing 101 – 103
