Have you ever been somewhere and notice the crowds gathered around one particular street vendor or performer?  Amazed we stand in awe of their abilities or their entertaining way of delivering something far outside what is considered ‘normal'.

I must admit, I too stand in awe of vendors that bear the confidence to be able to take such a normally mundane task and transform it into an entertaining experience for the customer – who will surely never forget.

In my course book, I share how I use comedy and a touch of sarcasm to make customers feel warm and welcome.  However my talents don't compare to those that go above and beyond, those that do things that would make some of us feel embarrassed if we tried to pull it off.

However, if you could swallow the nervousness and self consciousness – you could transform your business into a gold mine.  It's similar to a bad wreck, everyone stops and looks.  If you were to create a gimmick, an entertaining experience, then you would see sales go through the roof.

What do you suppose this cotton candy vendor takes in with his sugar and air mixture?   Did you notice, he's not collecting the money?  It appears he has someone there taking orders as he ENTERTAINS!

This vendor is super friendly, he dances, does tricks and flips his pan lids in rhythmic entertainment for his fans.

This vendor in China goes shirtless while cooking with fire and dancing.

We don't have to all have crazy wild talents to make a great living.  Sometimes a hot dog hat or a cool outfit will do the trick.  I have seen vendors with huge balloons atop their carts and vendors with a team of real condiments.

A fellow dogger sent this one to me.  Wow!  Is that hot dog or hooooot dog.   Calm down, it's better than some of the thong wearing vendors I've seen.
