Today I got up and headed to my office.
No roadblocks and no check points.

I arrived at MY desk, My business and
started answering emails received over-
night.

There were no missing emails, no
controls on my computer.

I scanned the news sites for headlines,
I checked Facebook, I even voiced my
opinions in public.

Today I will eat lunch with my mother
in law at the place of our choosing,
I'll drive to wherever we meet, I will
make sales today, talk to customers
today, employ some excellent people
today to build the best carts in the
industry today…

and I'll do it all without anyones
permission. I'll pay taxes, I'll eat
dinner and then I'll relax while
drinking coffee and watch whatever
tv station or movie I want tonight.

Tomorrow, I'll get up and do it all
again.

Thursday I'll get up and fly out of
state, I'll visit family and I'll fly
back across state lines while enjoying
the views below.

It was as if I lived in a Free Country
where I could do about anything that I
wish to do.

I can do this for one reason. All
because men and women so loved me, so
loved my fellowman that they chose
to serve, to die, to fight, to sacrifice
and to make available the freedoms
I enjoy.

To you, I say thank you. To you, I say
I love you.

I can't begin to imagine the sacrifices
made by so many, yet even in my
ignorance, I'm still protected. My
way of life, my children and grand-
children are safe, because of you.

Thank you, servicemen and servicewomen
for protecting and insuring that I enjoy
these continued freedoms.

Again – I LOVE YOU.
