I got an inspiring story from a street food vendor named Scott, who gave me permission to share his words with you. He recently went from being almost ready to give up, to selling more food than before… All because of an encouraging video and a change to his menu.

Hey Ben, Scott here, Owner of Yo Dawgz Catering, just wanted to tell you THANKS!!! You have so many videos and articles out there that it is almost impossible to fail! For a year now I have been struggling even after watching a few of your videos and reading all I could. Things just weren't working out for me and I was getting to the “Ready to GIVE UP” stage when I stumbled across a video on #%*!? Excuses and another one from HDVR about another man struggling and finally someone suggested Lobster Rolls and his business blew up!

Change the Menu

Well I didn't do Lobster Rolls, but I reinvented my hamburger recipes and I use fresh ground beef and got rid of the frozen patties, I also cooked up a huge batch of Authentic Jambalaya, enough for 10 orders with cornbread because though I was armed with the positive information from your videos there was still a little voice in the back of my head whispering to me that it wasn't going to work and I really should just give up.

Customers Love the Food

Well I went out, put up my signs, had my food hot and ready and waiting, the first customer approached and I explained what I was selling and their eyes lit up and from behind a happy face they literally asked no frozen Parties! And Fresh Jambalaya?! And I replied yes and the Jambalaya is chicken with Andouille! The amazement was there and they said they wanted a burger so I started cooking the burger and we were talking about the business when I got the bright idea to serve him a taste of the Jambalaya….. HE ORDERED 2!!!! to bring back to his office and give to coworkers that he said just had to try it!

They Bought it All!

Needless to say within the next 90 minutes I sold out of my burgers and Jambalaya!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only made $200 for the day, BUT all days previous to that might have been 50 a day and that was standing out in the West Texas Heat for 6 hours!

Business is Taking Off

Now I'm getting asked for catering jobs, where am I going to be next, they are asking for my business card, and what kind of foods can I do for Parties!
