Ridley has worked his butt off his whole life.
Raised kids and all.
Now his marriage is suffering although the kids are gone and he's still working 6 days a week.
Yuck! Never home!
He thought by this age he'd have enough saved to semi-retire.
He always had an entrepreneur type spirit but with the exception of the occasional multi-level marketing scam, I mean opportunity… he's stuck to the what he calls the “tried and true” JOB!
He's a welder on big construction jobs like for the State.
What extra they had could easily be spent on grandkids and what little saved usually couldn't be enjoyed.
Hellfire… he rested only one day a week.
Now his wife was home alone and she constantly prodded him to find a better job so he could be home more with her.
They even went to marriage counseling at her demand, but that lasted all of 2 weeks because of…
you know… the JOB.
He couldn't afford to just quit.
He had to have an immediate solution to replace the income.
He made good money but not good enough money to watch his marriage go downhill year after year.
He found this wild and crazy hillbilly on the interwebs one night.
[wild crazy hillbilly = me]
He bought my book on how to start a hot dog business.
After some due diligence he decided he wanted in on the food trailer business.
But after applying for financing and getting approved, he called me.
Pissed off he was!
He saw that after the leasing was completed, he would have paid about $5,000 more than the original cost.
His payment… $312 a month.
“I could buy a dadgummed new truck for $312 a month!”
Yup, you can! But how much money and freedom is that truck gonna get ya?
After some ‘splainin on my part about:
– truck ain't gonna make you money
– you already have a truck
– this will make you money
– this is 100% a tax right-off
– this gives you real freedom
– this ends the marriage killing job you have
– $10 a day is nothing in what you'll make
and on and on.
The next day he called the finance company and got the ball rolling.
It's been just over 2 years now. He left the welding JOB.
He owns his own life now and he works about 3 weekends a month.
Ridley's marriage… back on track and his wife even helps him on the trailer.
