The hot dog cart business gives you great …really great rewards. But we all gotta overcome challenges and go through the learning curve.
It happens to us all!
After working for the company for 17 years, they sold out. He was just 1 of many who suddenly were jobless.
He did have a 401 and some severance pay, but that wasn't going to get him through till retirement.
AND NOW RETIREMENT SEEMED FURTHER OFF.
"Ben, it's absolutely devastating."
He had been up north twice and even ate from a hot dog vendor once. He said that even at that time he remembers feeling sorry for the vendor who was all wrapped up to stay warm as he served hot dogs and sausages.
“I never even dreamed I'd be doing the same one day.”
He got started and hated it.
I mean he hated his hot dog cart business.
He wrote to me once asking how in the world anyone could enjoy vending.
His email sounded more like he felt the job was BENEATH him.
But due to the circumstances and his new business investment, he almost was forced to stick with it.
Yesterday he wrote me again…
Ben, I must apologize. Back in February I emailed you. I complained and I told you how much I hated this hot dog cart business. We even talked by phone a few times but I doubt you remember me.
Either way I want you to know. I WAS WRONG. I love this. I've helped a previous co-worker get started and he's actually doing even better than me.
My wife and I are working 4 days a week. She helps prep and I run the cart. She even does the clean up.
If you remember me, please forgive my hasty and uncalled for email I sent you back then.
We are making great money and I'm working far less than I used to.
Now happy he didn't throw in the towel. He fell in love with it and is financially secure.
WARNING: Hot Dog Cart Business… you may hate this!
In his first email to me, he actually said that my book should come with a warning that says… “you may hate this”.
I responded back then that “I kinda did, remember the pros and cons section and the part about this ain't for everybody?”
It all started with my course book.
HOT DOGS SAVED MY LIFE (complete comprehensive course)
Thousands of vendors started with that one course book and now are successful pro vendors.
How bad are ya gonna hate it….?
It's all about mindset and how you see things…
… I actually wrote a detailed article about it …read it HERE.
Ben “Little Did I Know” Wilson
Ronnie Carr isn't alone. I can relate. I never thought I'd run a hot dog cart business and was literally embarrassed to be vending in front of people who I knew so well.
And no one says ya gotta do it forever. Many, like Ronnie and I – we started thinking it was a temporary solution. Little did we know.
