Before you buy a new or used hot dog cart…
Do you due diligence!
You don’t want to order a brand new cart with options on it that your health department won’t approve! That’s a waste of money and time and will lead to a bunch of headaches.
Don’t go broke or pawn your kidneys!
Always start cheaper, especially if you don’t really have the money to invest.
The goal, remember, is to make money faster and get out of debt quicker, or not go into debt in the first place!
Use the money you make with your first cart to buy the Cadillac version later.
Buy used if you can find a good deal!
Sometimes used carts are cheaper than new ones, especially in the winter. Sometimes they’re MORE expensive than new!
Why? Because people want to start making money NOW, and new carts take time to build.
How long? Sometimes a month or more.
If you can’t find a good deal on a used cart, DIY it!
