Well howdy! Today, i wanna talk about a burning question I often get: When's the best time to start street food vending?
The Perfect Day to Start Street Food Vending
Do you know the best day to start a hotdog vending business or any kind of street food vending business?
You might think it's July 10th, 2024, or 20 years ago.
It's kinda like planting a tree; the best time was yesterday, but the next best time is today!

Overcoming the Seasonal Fears
I recently got a call from a guy who said, “Ben, is it too late to start?
It's already July.
Should I wait till the first of the year, like spring?”
(Great Tips: Winter Food Cart Ideas)
Now, spring is a great time to start.
It's when everybody thinks about it.
It's the most common time to start.
But, what if you could have 6, 7, 8, 9, or even 10 months of experience before that date?
I prefer the experience.
You don't have to go into it full-time.
You may be thinking, “Ben, I got a full-time job. I wanted to start this in the spring part-time.”
Why not start part-time now?
Why not go out once a month, once a week, or even once every two months?
Cutting Through the Red Tape
Starting now allows you to cut through all that red tape you have to go through to get licensed and insured.

Plus, you'll be making extra money.
I know vendors who started in November and fully paid for Christmas just by vending a couple of times.

The Incredible Business of Vending
Vending is an incredible business.
It's the highest paying business that I know of where you don't need a college education or student loan debt for the next 25 years.
It pays better than most doctors and lawyers.
You may be asking, “How's that possible?”
Well, we've had doctors go into vending.
Real-Life Success Stories
Remember the 2008 housing market crash?
We had two different doctors, one of whom was a chiropractor, start vending.
The chiropractor's still vending to this day.
He closed down his offices in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is vending still.
Why?
Because it's more profitable, offers more freedom, more free time, and less work.
The Realities of Vending
Now, let's be honest.
Vending is not easy.
I've got videos on how hard it is and all the negatives.
Everything comes with its own set of problems.
You could win the lottery today and it comes with its own set of challenges.
I had a good friend who won $5 million on a scratch-off ticket in Georgia.
Immediately, problems started—everybody wanted a piece, and there were taxes to deal with.
The Flexibility and Profitability
The nice thing about vending is that you get to pick how much you vend and how much you want to make.
You'll often make way more than some of the best lawyers make.
We've got vendors that go out and make $800 to $1,000 an hour.

Just got an email this morning from a lady who started lemonade vending on the cheap.
(Awesome Training: How To Start A Lemonade Stand Today (With Video Instructions))
They did over $550 at their first little event on a Saturday.
You can do what you want with it and grow it to where you want.
The Pros and Cons of Owning a Restaurant vs. Vending
A lot of people tell me they want to get started in the restaurant business and see vending as a stepping stone.
That's good and bad.
A restaurant is stuck in one location, whereas with a hot dog cart or a food cart, you can move around.
You're not forced to be in a certain location.
The Freedom of Mobility
With vending, you can hook your cart to your truck and drive to the next location.
This mobility is a huge advantage over a brick-and-mortar restaurant.
The downside?
Vending is work.
Your cart won't make money sitting in your yard or garage.
Start Now and Change Your Life
No matter when you start, it's the perfect time—unless you started before that.
Start now and change your life.
You will make more money working part-time vending than in almost any full-time job.
I'm not saying all vendors are rich, but I've got friends in the business who are happy with $60,000 a year working part-time.
Then, I've got vendors who do $350,000 a year vending part-time.
